Ming Dynasty, Wanli mark and of the period (1573-1620)
Decorated to the exterior in wucai (five-colour enamel) with a continuous scene of immortals and attendants, and to the interior with a five-clawed dragon roundel below a border of flower sprays. Six-character Wanli Imperial mark within a circle in underglaze blue to the base. 6.5cm high, 14.5cm diameter. Excellent condition with only some minor rubbing to the iron-red enamel. Together with a Japanese double-wooden box, the old interior box inscribed to the underside of the lid with a guarantee, signature and seal by Koyama Fujio (1900-1975).
