Of faceted double gourd form decorated in underglaze blue with a different brocade/diaper pattern to each side below a flower-lattice border below the gently everted rim, the base unglazed.  22cm high, 9.5cm diameter.  Together with a magnificent old kurogaki (persimmon wood) fitted box.  Condition:  glaze bursts to one facet, fritting to one section of the rim, stained horizontal firing crack along the luting line midway up the lower gourd section extending through two of the facets which does not break through the glaze (no indication with UV light or to touch), but rather is stained through the interior and visible through the glaze.
