Very finely carved with excellent details and proportions as a standing figure in armour carrying a trident spear in the right hand and holding up a pagoda in the left, standing triumphantly atop a demon, much of the original polychrome details being preserved. It is unusual to find a miniature personal devotional sculpture with such a high level of detail and artistry. Later spear and some small losses and areas of old restoration. 12.7cm high (without spear), 6.5cm wide. Together with a high quality old Japanese wooden box with sliding front.
